Christmas Dinner at Spago by Wolfgang Puck

8:41 AM

This year Christmas dinner was held at Spago at Marina Bay Sands hotel. Reserving a seat at this restaurant is quite troublesome as they require you to fill in a form and send copies of your credit card. After a range of confusing emails, I finally managed to confirm our reservation.

The wind was blowing so hard, look at our hairs 😂

Me and my friends decided not to set a dress code for this year's dinner cos it'll be too much trouble hahaha. I booked the place for 6 pm on the 20th December. They have the 15 minutes holding policy and as usual....... the boys came 1 hour late. So me and the girls went there first and honestly the restaurant is difficult to find. For non hotel guests, you have to take the elevator of tower 2, which turns out that they have 2 elevators, so be sure to take the one that reaches to level 55. Then you have to switch to another elevator at level 55 which takes you to level 57. This was unknown to us, so yeah.. we're lost at MBS..

The view from level 57 😍
Our server was a very nice gentlemen, he was so polite and friendly. I expected a long table for us (12 people) but they gave us a round table which is wayyyy better cos we can see and talk to each other easier. While waiting for the boys we took photos hehehe

Patrycia looking stunning 😍

A little bit of curhat, so I had a flu that has been going on since Saturday. And because of this, my taste buds became numb which means I can't taste any food I eat. I panicked cos I have this dinner coming up and I don't want my money to waste on food I can't even taste😢
According to the internet, the perfect solution for your numb tongue is to eat spicy food. I tried eating 4 spoons of my homemade sambal I brought from Indo but it didn't worked. Then I thought of eating samyang, so I went to Gaby's cos I don't have samyang in stock. Usually I cry my tears out eating samyang, but that day I can eat samyang with Bu Rudy's Chilli without drinking a whole jar of water. AND IT WORKED. I can taste again #halleluya

I ordered the Sea Bass, which costs around $60. The land dishes costs up to $100++. But before they serve dinner, they serve us bread, thank God I ate 4, cos eating my mains only won't fill me up. Their portions are quite small.
Grilled Chicken
Sea Bass. Personally, it was good but not extraordinary in a certain way. With it's price I kinda expected something more.
This Caramel Souffle was worth all the calories! *they thought it was my birthday😅 😂*

Pineapple Mille Feuille
We took a bunch of group photos which was very noisy and hectic, and I feel the servers were annoyed with us hahaha 😂

But apparently the results weren't that nice so we took another shot in front of a christmas tree at the hotel lobby.

This is our first and last Christmas Dinner together :')
